Follow the link. It's a coyote surveillance vehicle. The Lav 25 was designed by GM diesel division. They are produced in London Ontario, Canada. The original version was a mowag. They are all green. That's all I can really tell you without comprimizing security. Look on the web, there's lots of info out there.

and one more thing, dont confuse the LAV-25 with the vehicle the army has (stryker). lots of diffrences.

Click on the link on this thread and look at the videos “firefight3of4” and firefight4of4” to see the Canadian LAV in action with it’s 25mm gun in Afghanistan.

The Swiss must be laughing all the way to the bank. It's also used by the Australians (Canadian built ASLAV), and New Zealand has the NZLAV III, also built by GM Canada.

It has been about 3 years now since General Dynamics purchased General Motors Defence, in London, Ontario, Canada. Only a few years previous to that GMD had purchased MOWAG, the Swiss company that had designed the Piranha series of wheeled armoured vehicles. GMD had been building the vehicles under license in North America since the mid-70's.

All of the customers get a slightly different vehicle than everybody else.

The early LAVs had a Detroit Diesel V-6 and were capable swimmers, while the most current units have a Caterpillar I-6 and deep ford. Just like myself, as the years go by the weight increases - payload and ballistic protection for the LAV, cheeseburgers for me. :)

Yes

Cheeseburgers yes! never met one I didnt like and
they affect me the same way,a bit more on the gross
weight end.
