Fabulous shots Clive!, especially the one of the multi-plane fly-by. One minor point, the payload of the B52 was incorrect. The main reason for keeping the "BUFF" (Big Ugly Fat Fellow) around is it'a immense capacity to carry bombs. The 70,000lb. payload was for the bomb bay only. When using the wing racks, the B52 can carry over 100,000lbs of iron bombs!

And if you like things that fly less than 2 feet off the ground check out these amazing pics of the brilliant skill of RAAF pilots, or is it the brilliance of the F1-11's terrain-following radar? No, it's actually a Series of pictures of the recent emergency landing of an RAAF F1-11 at Amberley after a landing wheel fell off (!) after take-off.

Yes, the pilots ARE extremely skilled. The instructions were to "Fly lower, and lower, and when you hear a scraping sound, stop."

Also known as landing by Braille.

Tower to pilot: "No worries mate, just lower your tail hook and we'll reel you in!"
