F15 first drive (video)

This actually happened a couple of months ago - Howard's F15 had lain dormant for 25 or so years in a paddock. After removing the radiator (which was cactus) adding some fuel, an oil change and cleaning the points, this was the result.

I've published it on my blog

It lives again

Great footage. Isn't it great when the old V8 fires up after so long. I think we can all relate to this in the excitement of restoration when we get our engines running for the first time. Keep up the good work Howard.

Tony's Dance

Thankfully for Jif...
"..... he's not wearing his helmet and battledress... "
You guys just wait 'till you meet Tony. Make sure you have all of your vehicle history memorised because you WILL be asked...

Great footage and interesting dance. I was just as happy when my UC started up.

Keep the films coming.

...or his pink tutu.

Maybe we can get him into his bathing costume for a scene with his F60L.

Not sure what the answer is to that one, Jif

If others such as Howard are able to view it on their PCs then may there be something peculiar about the setup on yours? Could it be something to do witih the OS or media player version?

That's a relief!

The 'war dance' was entirely spontaneous and not, as fas as I could tell induced by any known drug.

Keith,

Is it too much effort to put stuff on PC compatible format. I also can only get sound - OK for you Apple boffins but for the 90% of us in the real world chugging along on Microsoft it is like learning what it is like to be struck blind.

Just a download

Try what Geoff did...

To convert it to a Windows Media Player file means hugely increasing the size and hugely decreasing the quality (it's a very inefficient codec but I suspect they don't improve it because everyone will use it without complaining). The other issue is I'd have to host it elsewhere too.

OK for you Broadband types, thats 18.7Mb or a download time of 5hrs 37min and 48sec for those on dialup. :(

Keith Webb 20-10-06 09:10

Dialup

Bummer - Tony, how do you manage? Isn't Broadband available in your area??? :confused

Lang 20-10-06 14:02

Hope it was worth the effort!

Keith,

You should put some of that stuff on YouTube! It is excellent.

Yes, I've thought about that - and may well do it.

Thanks, and glad you enjoy them.
