Sherman M4A4 - info needed

Hiya folks, well not content with recalcitrant Morrises :bang: this time me and a couple of mates have gone off the deep end with a Sherman...

It's been re-engined with a radial (does anyone know if that was a wartime mod or more probably something that the Italians did postwar) which is not a bad thing at all, seeing as it's got a bit more poke and lots more room under the hood.

What I would like to know is if there's anyone out there with pictures of what the interior looked like, and how the various bits and pieces were stowed.

I'll keep you all posted as progress is made..

Thanks all,

Stef

Hi Stef,

Great find!

The radial engine is definitely a post-war modification. The Chrysler multi-bank is actually a better engine, but near impossible to find these days. So you'd better stick to the Continental.

As for some interior pictures see, Sherman restoration and follow the link.

Also try the Sherman Register mailing list - http://groups.yahoo.com/group/G104 - there are many knowledgeable people there, too.

Good luck!

Hanno
