Geoff Winnington-Ball (RIP) 11-12-06 01:36

Geez, what happened to the other four cylinders?

I'm frightened, Auntie Em...

Bruce Parker (RIP) 11-12-06 01:53

Women.

Good intentioned, but colour blind. Who would paint a flathead that colour? All I get from my missus is socks and underwear. 'Course depending on the particulars, that can work too...

Vets Dottir 11-12-06 02:10

Okay, I'm getting the sense that maybe there's something I don't totally "get" here ... me being a woman and not knowing these itty bitty bits and pieces of thingamajiggies and all? :)

Bruce Parker (RIP) 11-12-06 02:21

Let me spell it out.

You, being a woman, do not give socks and underwear. You wear them and that, if it be the right socks and underwear, should ensure that Christmas (or any other holiday) is a smashing success.

That pale blue motor thing is, well, only a thing someone like Dave, or me, or Geoff, or Keith, or Alex, or Stephan, Hanno or...would understand.

Got it?

alleramilitaria 11-12-06 02:23

bruce, its easy to spot oil leaks in that color, and it is late war.... late vietnam war :)

Bruce Parker (RIP) 11-12-06 02:29

Awwww...

...and here I thought you two might have gotten into a tiff over this. You can now smile and say "nice wartime paint, dear!!". Ain't wife-es great?

Sadly, it was a library book that I had to return "The Little Black Devils" by Bruce Tascona and someone else I think? I think it's mentioned in my EXECUTED POWS thread ... I'm sure people in here recognize the full title and authors though. I would like a copy of it if I ever come across one. Actually, I think I'll check our library catalogue online and see if they have a copy available. Thanks for mentioning the book so's I'm reminded :)
