Hello David,

You have done incredibly well in five months. What's the next project, something a bit harder like a full size version of the Sydney Harbour Bridge?

:D :D Bob

Sydney Harbour,

Hello Bob,
Just put in a bid for the Golden Gate bridge, I would like to tackle a tank next either a Valentine or a stuart,
I want to thank you for all your help and advice given freely by you over the last few months, and lots of other people in this forum, its atitudes like this that helps to form bonds amongst our members, a big thank you for Geof who started off this forum, it brings us all together as if in an extended family

Best Regards,
Ron,

Hi Ron

That is amazing what you have done in 5 months. You need to slow down as your making the rest of us look bad.

One question. Your right side track looks like it has some frozen links in it. This is on the top run near the sprocket. You may want to carefully go forward and back up a few times to try and work them free.

One other point. I though Cnd carriers front ends were somewhat ugly but your Aust one has then all beaten. :rolleyes

Concur ref his accomplishments, and you're right ref the right-side track. It should loosen up with some hard use, though. Ref the 'ugly' stuff... well, I might get into some trouble if I agreed with you... :D

Ron,
Have been following your progress as well. Carrier looks terrific. She'll be a beaut I bet with all the markings. As for doing a tank next, my vote is for a valentine. Compared to Stuarts in private hands (in Oz), there would be bugger all.

Poppy's Carrier 31-12-06 01:27

Gday ron

your carrier looks great i would hope that mine will look like that in about 12 mths or by the time the M J C Q have there next swap meet at cunungra, it would be great to see some mobile carriers there to compliment the other great armour :) ie phil and jad's stuarts :note: :note: :note: .

anyway happy new year to all

matt baker   :salute:

Hi Jordon,
Yes I know about the frozen part of the track, its ok now all I had to do was go up to the gate and back, and that fixed it, I am an old hand at this game I have been working on them over thirty years, but thanks for the nice comments, carnt wait to start on the next project,

Next swop

Hello Matt,
Yes I agree with you it will be good to see a couple of mobile carriers there at the Canungra swop I would have been there but I was waiting on the wheels at the time, I think Rob will be there also and maybe we can get a couple of more starters. Have a happy new year.
Ron

Valentine

HI Rynoki,
I realise how scarce the Valentines are here in Australia, and thats what makes it all the more worth while if they were thick on the ground like Cents I would not be interested in them, I have owned six Matildas over the years, and the odd Studebaker and G M C, and I restored a Diamond T tank transporter, 980. the Vanentine seems a challenge and that what I like,

Ugly Duckling.

Hello Geof,
If you think the carrier is ugly you should see my dog,now thats ugly,
I rather like the Canadian carriers and wish they were here in numbers it would nice to restore one,
