Jon;

I knew Dave Lowry had been with the Royal Regiment a long time, but I didn't think it had been since .................

Jon; When I first saw this photo, it struck me how much this Corporal looks like a very, very young Dave Lowry :eek:

Good one, Mark!

The initials on the mascot stand for "Toronto Regiment", right?

Dave, now RSM of the Royal Regiment of Canada, has nowhere near the amount of hair that is shown. :salute:

A nick name that we always used for him was "Yah, yah".

Whenever he could, he would interrupt anyone's conversation by saying..."Yah, yah, but while I was on my mortar course..."

Of course, don't we all have our idiocyncransies?

..... yes that is true, but you have to remember that the photo was taken in 1916 ...... and I think if the forage cap were removed, his bald spot would be just starting to show......
