Australian Radio Trucks
1 Attachment(s)
Hi gals & guys - something of interest from one of our Museum members who is a dedicated radio truck expert. There will be 7 photos in the series.
"Hello from Andrew to all on this list - I have attached a one-off rare group of photos that have finally appeared in electronic form. They Are of the Adelaide General Motors Holden Wireless truck body 1943 - 1944 approx 1200 made, and my hope is that by all of you keeping these photos on file it will help many people to restore these Signals Trucks used by the AUstralian Army in WW2. Some of you restore radios, some trucks, etc, some may not have a great interest, but you all have a connection with this information, and its a fairly big group of files, I cant stress enough that these photos have just been 'distributed' in high detail for the first time, and this means you are all now experts in this model of vehicle, These photos actually do answer many mysterious questions, and at the same time, they do not show any of the operational radio equipment, known to be S6,101,122,112[AT5-AR8],NO4,133 SETS etc, + so on, [Thanks to Mike Kelly for doing the scanning,]" |
