Les Français semblent préférer les camions américains parce qu'ils sont commande à gauche. Thanks for the link, Karmen, always nice to keep up with others elsewhere! |

Thanks Geoff,
Anything that I come across, you folks have probably already found or know about, long ago, but you never know ... Here is a link that many of you probably know of and this page is offering vehicles for sale. I'm absolutely amazed at some of the asking prices  http://www.vehiclesofvictory.com/Veh...For%20Sale.htm PS: ... ah ... and THIS story is how this addict was born  :) http://www.vehiclesofvictory.com/My%20quest.htm PPS: Under that sites "Resources" link page, you'll see MLU given as a GREAT site!!!!!!! and don't tell me ... VOV owner is an MLU Member no doubt? :D |

The DUKW on his site looks delightful, if a bit expensive. I've been on those in Lake Ontario when most of you were in short pants. Great fun... :) Marko -- "Old Fart" indeed... there's the pot talking to the kettle! :p |
GMC-CCKW
The French forces used these as a mainstay of their vehicle fleet well up to the early 1980's. Every conceiveable version plus some of their own unique ones. The command 352 at the bottom of the page being a purely French post WW2 one.
Thanks for the link. Cheers Cliff :) |
