Phone Scams?
 

Hi.

Has anyone else had calls from a number in Wyoming that a recorded voice wants you to dial "9"and doesn't disconnect some times when you hang up?

307 764-8790 (my voicemail recorded the message todau when I didn't answer the phone and Googling says the area code is Wyoming)

I've had calls at least twice in the last month or so from the same number I think, the first time I was extremely angry as when I tried to hang up (after doing nothing to play along with the message) every time I picked up my phone the voice essage to dial 9 replayed and I could not get a dialtone. This happening for several minutes of trying/retrying picking up to get a dialtone connection again.

Interesting that dialing 9 (which I did NOT do) is also the number we need to use to save a voicemail message from our phone servers here.
