A new thread I thought would be fun to start: The big and the small. If you have any pics showing similar type vehicles, the only difference being their size, please send them on in. Here's my entry (who said size doesn't matter?)

Derek,

I wondered what the heck you were talking about, assume you mean Snipe :)

It is the relationship of the two vehicles, look closer ........

Command Personnel carriers? The Humber has a post-war registration as well as the WD Census Number.

I didn't want to give too much away. Even allowing for parallax, the Matador (Spain) is way too small for the Humber (Snipe) and therefore is a scale model?

Correct........the Matador was one of two built for Duxford air museum, it towed trailers, built from bomb trolleys which visitors rode on. A very accurate scale model using Mini engines and transmissions, the driver sat in the back body. They were sold off a few years ago and this one is seen parked in the REME historic vehicle collection storage.

The Humber Snipe staff car was originally in the Beverley museum but it was moved to the REME collection, and yes David, it does carry both wartime and post-1947 (circa) census numbers.
