Kid passed road test!

Hey folks,

My kid just called to tell me she took and passed her road test! Woo hoo ... I'll bet it won't be far down the road (pun intended) that she has her own wheels (not a CMP :( )! ... and can come visit her Old Mama Karmen ... how cool is THAT? :smoker:

Happy for my kid,

Ma Yappy

LOL she may be too busy chasing the boys to visit her loving mum! :D

Ma that's good news. I still yearn for the days when I had my licence.

Cheers
Cliff :)

Hi Lynn,

Yes ... tis great ... BUT ... it doesn't buy peace of mind for Old Ma. I do love the fact that she did what I did, which is to spring for driving lessons (costly but worth it) If I was her I'd also spring for a few more lessons for highway driving before testing highway driving speeds out. VERY different from city or town driving, especially when living in an extremely big and busy city where they drive like maniacs on the freeway!

I remember my very first highway drive was also the first day of my delivery driving job ... very curvy winding mountain roads between small communities. Trippy  :D

I survived and have a clean driving record too!

Karmen

Or she may be too busy running those boys down :D

I sympathize with you regards the licence ... but I still have mine and it works ... but I don't have a vehicle and haven't been able to drive with my hands for some time ... though my wrists hands are in better shape so I may well be able to drive again? (or is that just wishful thinking?) I yearn to drive ... and I yearn for a vehicle of my own to drive (and the money to run the damned thing :D )

Driving ... came to me late in life and I absolutely LOVE TO DRIVE!!!! A joy ... (most times)
