Carrier For Sale
1 Attachment(s)
I recently stopped at a property in Warwick Queensland and had a look at this carrier. The owner would like $5000 and isn't taking offers. There isn't much left of it. It has a motor and gear box but the motor appears to be seized. It has tracks but the wheels aren't much good. Otherwise there isn't much left of it. I have attached a photo of the ID plate for Keith if he hasn't already got it.

Warwick Carrier
Hi Darren
According to my Carrier database this is a 1943 Ford manufactured Carrier under Order No. CCN.62. I'm having a problem though working out the last two digits. If they are zeros then they are smaller than the 39, however they could also be 5s or 8s, the angle is slightly too oblique. So is it #3900, #3955 or #3988. Whatever it is it was still manufactured under the above Order Number. Any chance of confirming this number? Given the price of restored Carriers these days $5000 isn't too bad especially if the tracks are any good, and they look OK from the image. In the last image too it look like one of the petrol tanks to the right and maybe there are other bits lying around. Bob |
My guess bob would be #3955.

definately 3955

#3955
Thanks guys, #3955 it is. Actually when I looked at the thumb nail image of the plate the number stood out a lot better than an enlarged image.
