ga hamilcar gliders
has any one seen or heard of any line drawings, plans or good 3 view drawings of this glider? i have a number of war time pictures and some side view drawings from various sites on the net. i even have partial drawings / dimentions of the cargo area but no good views of the tail, cockpit or the nose door. i have been told that there was a good articial in an old airfix mag (jan 1970 vol 11 no5) if any one has a copy i would love to see it. i have found that there is a resin (planet models) and a vacform (sanger models) available in 1/72 scale. but due to their cost i am leaning towards trying to build one from scratch. i have been interested in the d day landings for years. i am slowly building up info on things i dont have the models of. i nearly have all the info to complete the 79th arm div and now trying to find the gliders to go with. i'll just have to make sure i live for the next 20 year to finnish building all the variants i have info on or want to compleate, thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Pand65au
Hey mate, have you got a name so that we don't feel awkward addressing you as "Mr. Pand" or "Mr. 65au"?
Thanks, Jif |

Thanks!
No worries mate... it's just that here we frown upon those who insist on remaining anonymous - even just a first name is OK, because it shows your 'human' side. We like to think we've worked hard to make this a safe and comfortable community where all who are truly interested in the work we do can feel at home. :)
