I had a phone call from a bloke cleaning out his shed the other day. He said that there were two unopened boxes with military markings, that he had found in a shed on a property he had recently purchased. Was I interested? You bet! So I went to check them out and this is what I found.

Close-up of the sentcilling.
I only opened one box, but the other is marked the same. My 25pdr. was made in Scotland by G J Weir in 1940 and is number 266. It was one of the first supplied to the Australians during the Second World War. |
spare 25pdr cover
Hey Rick old mate, does this mean you are keeping the unopened box & selling me the demo model you opened?

It's intresting to see that the box has a current (British) NATO stock number on it. I wonder if the MOD have a big stack of these in a warehouse somewhere
