The Mighty Moe
 
I had the distinct pleasure of meeting the Chief Gunners Mate from the USS Moussori. He actually served on her during WW2 and was brought out of retirement to re-commission the guns when she was brought out of moth-balls in the eighties. Got a personal tour. I also saw a live fire demo which included a full broadside...mind you we were a few Kms away....still AWESOME.

... is now tied up as a museum inside of Pearl Harbor, isn't she ?

Mike, where did you witness the live-fire ?

We were doing consort with her west of the Hawaiian Islands. She was doing "work-ups" prior to being deployed off Lebanon I believe.
