Handy

Be useful for when they need the space for sponsorship banners from places like that famous Scottish restaurant chain McDonalds. :p

Good Idea

As long as the ad money goes for paying them.

I would have thought that Tim Hortons would be more appropriate.:coffee

Geoff: For the love of God, please delete this thread before the government gets ideas. Soon after they adopt this, they will be charging companies fees to put their logos on the cadpat vests, and selling the naming rights to the bases.

By mutual agreement, some brand names already adorn some of our soldier's kit. The message was not so much to advertise the company logo, but to make the soldier aware that s/he is getting the best available (see the tag on the new rain gear...). DND "owns" the IP rights to CADPAT.

Subject: Rolling Banners

Text: That's a KEEPER, whoever you are! Owe ya flat of warm, stale VB for that one! Only problem is, we don't know who you are and where you live so will have to compensate some other way, down the road (no, we will only act as a procurer of lithe, buxom women on our own behalf).

Keith,

You boys from down under are only jealous because we got the cool Leopard 2A6Ms while you are stuck with those M1s.

Take down those American logos and put up some all Canadian ones like Harvey’s and Labatts.

P.S. here’s the original source of the photo.

Copycats

Hi guys
AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH memories of Labbatts Blue....enjoy!!!
Now then, amazing isn't it? We Brits get something in our heads......................like anti cattle in the sprocket fencing (ACITSF) on MBT's
http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1.../CR22Telic.jpg
But don't of course leave enough room for banner fast food advertising!!!!!!
and.....next thing.........everyone else does it but, in true Canadian fashion................better job of modifying an already good idea!!!So it's even better!!! Mind you, does beg the question that if CR2 only has it on it's most vulnerable areas..................how many areas has Leo2 got?????
How long though till everyone copies the low flying vulture protection pole (LFVPP) as seen here also on Op TELIC????? A trick we copied off ourselves on Ferrets in Ireland albeit there weren't any vultures, just taut cheese wire to decapitate the Sunray's turnip!!
http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h1...e/CR2Telic.jpg

But on a serious note - bravo for keeping your boys safe guys!! We've been losing toooo many!! :salute:
