Well this looks like an excellent example.
Personally, after rooting around with (Ganmain) Tony's F60L, and further to the "how much is too much?" thread, I reckon if this thing is genuinely "always shedded" and a runner, then $3k sounds OK to me. Of course, we'd all love to get it for the "slab of VB'! But if expense in purchase saves expense & TIME in restoration, then pay the extra & help save a truck!
