C8A Ambulance - For Trade or Sale

I am seriously considering parting with what I believe to be the only restored example of a C8A IC3 bodied ambulance.

This vehicle has a well documented pedigree and was owned at one time by Bart Vanderveen in the late 60's. Manufactured on 14 September '43 it was totally restored by myself over a four year period to its full combat configuration. It is complete down to the last detail including stretcher frame, stretchers and medical kit. Has featured in a number of magazines and is a prize winning vehicle.

I Would consider exchange against a restored early Canadian contract slat grilled Jeep but by all means contact me either for more details or to discuss options and extras. I am currently only advertising via Maple Leaf Up as I would prefer it to be kept in the hands of a Canadian vehicle purist. I am under no pressure to sell and it will complete the Normandy tour next year before going out to a wider audience if I recieve insufficient interest.

The two photos posted were taken at Beltring this year by the Classic Military Vehicle photographer

Apologies, the photo's I was going to use were too big for the system. Quality of attached is not quite so good, but I can direct you too a number of publications with photo's/articles if required.

Gives an indication of interior set up, I apologise for quality I can assure you the real thing looks slightly better.

You can't get it any better than this

Folks, this is probably the finest CMP restoration I've ever seen, bar none, and unique to-boot. I'd buy it myself without further thought if I had the cash.

HUA gone to new home

Thanks for all your interest in the vehicle and you will be pleased to know it has now gone to a good home. Nick Bullock came and did the deal the previous weekend and drove it home some 200 miles to join his growing collection of C8A's and C8.

I have replaced the HUA with another very interesting vehicle being a Ford WOC1.

Ian ;)
