Gourmet Cooking Downunder

This is a very clear indicator that there are some very peculiar blokes Downunder.... one can only ask, "What in the hell NEXT?!"

ADDENDUM -- Why on earth would someone want to eat something that eats spiders?! Double GAAAK! :bang:

('scuse me, gotta go cack up a furball right now)

Geoff,

Have you ever choked back a lobster? Image the bravery (or amount of alcohol) it took for the first person to eat one of those critters!

And if I remember correctly they are related to spiders as well :D

:D Oh that's right you don't like spiders do you Jif...I forgot sorry :D

On a more serious note I do not eat lobsters (called crayfish here) either but I am more then happy to eat Prawn (shimps to you guys I think) by the kilo when on the seldom occassion I can afford them.

Crayfish?

Crayfish here are about the size of what comes out of the south end of a northbound moggie. Come to think of it, about the same colour and texture, too. Hmmm.... probably taste the same as well, but there's a grand tradition of eating the disgusting little things over here. Those and clams, which look like cooked baby's tongues.... :nono:

I culd go on adn on...

More disgusting things

What's also disgusting is escargots in garlic butter, but for some reason I've acquired a liking for them. My ex used to call them 'slugs 'n butter' and would gaak when I ordered a double order at a restaurant and proceeded to scarf them down and soak up the garlic butter with garlic bread. She'd stay away from me for a week afterwards.

Hmmm... mebbe THAT's why I liked them... :D

Its one SICK puppy that eats snails in preference to a crayfish

Got rid of the ex, didn't it? :smoker:
