Kangaroo Gathering Announced

To all whom it may concern:

The Annual Kangaroo Luncheon has been set for 2007. The date is Saturday, 10 November here in Toronto, at 1200H. Location will not be published, but those who have attended prior reunions know where it is.

All with a specific connection to the 1st Canadian Armoured Carrier Regiment are invited to attend. The criteria for attendance is loose but you must have some direct interest in the Regiment (as opposed to simple curiosity); a family member of a Kangaroo still with us or now passed, a care-giver to a Kangaroo, a close friend, an escort, are all examples. If in doubt, please contact me directly for clarification and further instructions; if you know of anyone who might be interested and fall into one category or another, please pass along my contact particulars.

Thanks for your interest; these wonderful old gentlemen are a true pleasure to be with! Although they're moving a bit more slowly nowadays, they still have the spirit which carried them through that great conflagration and onwards til today. Every year is something a little different, but always lively, and we encourage as much of our extended 'family' to get there if they can!

Thank you,

Geoff

Coming Up

I'd like to remind everyone who might be interested that this is taking place next Saturday; if you're planning on attending, please let me know! Known to those here, we will have Bill Miller (whose father was a Kangaroo) coming in from Calgary as well as Hanno Spoelstra from the Netherlands; for those who have followed the saga, both on MLU and his own site, Hanno was the driving force behind the acquisition, restoration and emplacement of the Ram Kangaroo at Mill, Holland, back in the nineties.

Others here have made a significant contribution to the Regiment in past, and they are very welcome to attend as well!

Ed/Hanno/Bill;

After all this time it will be nice to finally meet you all face to face, seeing how we all have a common interest in 1 CACR.

Cheers

Marvellous, Ed! I'll send you directions later on today if you don't already have them. It would be great to see you there!

Mark, and Ed, I could not agree more!

By the way, I notified the wife and grandson of the late Arnold Faragher, and they decided to join the Kangaroo gathering as well.

Hanno
