Wanted - Military Radios
I am looking for the following radios (broken/dead) for my Land Rover LRPV project.
Any accessories such as 'tape' aerial, accessory bag, radio carry bag, handsets etc would also be needed. PRC 25 or PRC 77 http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q...km/PRC25_1.jpg PRC 10 http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q...ykm/PRC10a.jpg |
Tommy:
For an AN/PRC-25 (RT-505), or an AN/PRC-77 (RT-841), try the usual search engines. I wouldn't bother with US vendors on eBay since ITAR restrictions won't allow shipment out of the US. You'd be surprised what is available from such places as Greece and Israel! Good luck. BTW...what you referred to as a PRC-10...that looks very much like an AN/PRC-510, a Canadian VHF unit operating on the 38.0-54.9 Mhz...Coy to Bn comms, although I do believe that there was/is such an American unit looking very similar. Maybe we copied the Yanks? :D |
Thanks Jon.
I have searched the internet for these radios and there seems to be a number of radios and accessories about for sale (overseas). Most are for sale as 'operational units' which I do not need. I would be happy with just the outer case as it will be for display purposes only. I was hoping that someone here in Australia may have some. If not I will try other options. The PRC 10 photo was taken from a website selling military radios and is listed as a No.10 set. |
Thanks to everyone who replied to this request.
I have now acquired an example of both radios. :salute: |
