And my little bloke Harry, who gets to hold the steering wheel when we are moving it backwards & forwards under the gantry lifting covers off & engines in. "Can we go for a drive yet Dad?". "Soon my boy, soon!"

And last but not least a picture of a display I was asked to put on at the opening of a Vietnam Veterans Museum locally, the carrier was tilt trayed to the display(no engine) but the White drove there & back without a hitch. Hope you enjoyed the piccs...

I didn't know that there was a VV museum anywhere but on Phillip Island, got any more information on the museum or what they have on display?

it's only just opened, and has been put together by the Vietnam Veteran's locally with support from the RSL & local government, and based in the old local courthouse. Basically locals have donated or put on display items from private collections, from wwI all the way to Gulf 2. Also a library/resource centre, DVD's etc.... pride of place is going to a static Bofors a MLU member has donated to the cause, (good on you Darren W) and also has a meeting room for the boys to have a few coldies or tea & scones when the women are around.......needs a nicely painted up Tank out front though, anyone got a spare centurion floating around they can donate???

G'day Rob

Can you please confirm for me that yor carrier is manufactured by Metropolitan Gas Company, Fitzroy, Victoria.

Does your ID stampings read something like the photo here??

Thanks

Pedr

MGC1127 stamped over the diff mounting & the plate states metro gas..... I am suspect on the authenticity of the plate however...

Verification of manufacturer

Rob

My records show that it should be Metgas, however it is in an unconfirmed block of numbers.

I noticed your slide-in, slide-out rear seat bases and suspected that if I could see the photos, your carrier would be spot welded with spots the size of 5 cent pieces.

Pedr
