Just incase you missed it. Sorry about the scan quality but it looks immaculate in the magazine.

Unusual...............Never come across a 4x4 Morris with water tanker body, usually the 4x2 CS8 (or Bedford MW).

Hamish has the body from one....
Hamish has an original C15A tanker
http://www.gwim2.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/C15AT2.jpg It was used as a wrecker but the crane was off it, so we bought a 200 gallon tank for the back of it. The plate inside the rear doors says it's a 200 gallon tank for a 1941 Morris Commercial, but I don't recall the order numbers or anything like that. This is it's third incarnation, because it was taken from the back of a Bedford MWC (?) 15 cwt. Gordon |
Morris C8
Richard , you are correct again !
The 1944 C8 model pictured was only ever supplied with either a wood or steel GS body or with a house wireless body . The seller has fitted a tank from a 4X2 . The price has me shuddering , for that money I could import 3 of them from the UK . They turn up for sale regularly on Milweb . There is good website on the C8 GS at www.mvt-essex.org.uk/kb.htm Mike |
