Default Prize goes to Bob

You are correct it is a quick and dirty but very effective tool for removing the shift lever. For years I have been looking for one of these tools. Some times you can push and turn with your fingers or heaven forbid use a pair of pliers. Usually I just removing the whole top of the transmission. Then while working on the engine swap on my C60S I had the transmission up on the bench and happened to notice that the cross section of slot was one inch and having a whole bunch of scrap 1x1 box tubing decided to make one. Little cutting with the plasma cutter, a little welding and a couple of touches with the bench grinder. The result is a very handy little tool.
