Default One of the few

It's one of the several chassis-less NOS bodies to survive which were sold off after the war mounted on their timber packing rails. The ARN is spurious. There were only ever two of these to be delivered to the Army and they were both soon sent off to Peter Bros in Redfern along with a number of No8 CGTs to be converted to mobile cranes, with the original bodies chopped off.

The ARN serial range belongs to 1941 rather than 1944/5 which is when these were built. How many bodies were built? We don't yet know but it was at least 45.

Euan McDonald owns the second of the two to be built - not the one he is normally associated with which is a NOS body (No3 in the series) on a modified C15A chassis.
