Default 17 Pounder Manual

Hi Guys!

I want to publicly acknowledge an incredible piece of kindness from one of our brethren on this forum: Wayne Henderson, a Gunner from Western Australia, recently mentioned that he had a 17 Pounder parts manual. I PM'd him explaining that we had one such artillery piece in the S&P Museum collection and that a copy of a parts manual would be great asset as we are disassembling the breech mechanism and are stuck on a tricky bit.

Wayne copied his manual, stuffed it in an envelope, paid some hefty postage and it arrived from Oz last week; just in time to answer that tricky question and allow us to move on the the next step in the teardown!

Wayne- THANK YOU!

Maple syrup and beaver tails await you if you ever grace our snowy shores (come in the summer when there's less snow!)

What a great bunch of people (Particularly the Gunners ) we have on this forum.

Mike
