Default Jack sharp r.i.p.

Good day everyone. I am new to the forum and very thankful to the organisation that it exists, I have learned a lot - and am now the proud owner of a C15A (WO16) in Australia. More about that after I work out how to post but I want to start with the Relatives section.

Hope you can see the picture. It is my Grandad, Pop JACK SHARP. He is with his best mate Andy Jarvis in Port Morsby in an undated picture. He's the one next to the door opening side. My Dad thinks it is about 1944. Digital picture is actually reversed, so this is an right hand drive BLITZ. I will correct that in the future. Like many old Diggers, he never spoke of his time in Papua New Guinea. I was fortunate enough to live there from 1971 to 1976 and did most of my Primary School close to the Airport he defended.

I found and bought my Blitz in Jan 09 and just collected it from the Farm where the owner had it for more than 30 years. It's still a runner. Previously used by contractors building railway lines in QLD. Looking forward to refurbish it. When I got the Blitz, I didnt know this picture existed. Dad found that after I told him I had it. To his surprise, the only picture we have of Pop in WWII is next to a BLITZ !
