Hi all,
after a while the "CMP scale modelling bug" has bitten me again! This time I'd like to convert an old Airfix/Italeri Chevrolet 15 CWT into a C60L.
Over the past weeks I went through all of the softskin's forum threads trying to get all te possible info and to avoid to ask questions already asked in the past, but there a few info I need to start my project.
- om the forum I've found the some drawings and pics of the F60L chassis. Is the Chevy exactly the same?
- can anybody help me with posting (or telling me where I can source) the drawings of the standard metal body for this truck?
- the kit comes with a 13 cab but I'd like to build from scratch an 11/12 cab, because these are the ones capured by the Italian Army in NA. Cliff on another thread said that the Tamiya's Quad cab is not in scale. Can anybody provide me with the measurements of that cab?
- are the cab dimensions the same regardless the fact that they were fitted on 15 or 60 chassis?
- I've seen around the net either originale or paper copies of the various CMP manuals, but they are far too expensive for a mere scale modelling use. Any news of the availability of these manuals in electronic (and hopefully cheaper ) format?
