Whilst the Owen Sound locals are quite steamed at the TPA's proposal, it has been suggested that the Island Airport be named instead after Barker (Bishop's partner in a civil aviation business and who was actually credited with more decorations than was Bishop).
This is all quite representative of the urban/rural divide where Torontocentric pricks assume they can ramrod their agendae roughshod over the sensibilities of us rural "hicks".
Why don't they name it after a Norwegian of note...after all the RNAF flew many training missions from that field. Seems to me that that would be more appropriate.
