The Iltis trailer uses the same drawbar as the M416 trailers. There are two holes in which you can mount the lunnette. Works good for those lower jeeps like the M151A2. As I recall the drawbar components mostly used canadian NSNs, but were identical and even had the US ord numbers on the cast parts.
The Iltis trailer features a lot of reinforcing that was not seen on the previous trailers, especially in the corners and the solid barstock grab handles front and rear. They also had square tubing on the upper tub as opposed to the round tubing found on the earlier trailers. The sheet metal was basically the standard jeep trailer stamping. And of course the axle and springs were commercial items on the Iltis trailer. On the earlier trailers, they were based on the MB jeep suspension and hubs, although the M416 had some refinement.
If you get an Iltis trailer, you can replace the drum/hub with commercial ones which will have studs to the same pattern as your jeep. That way you will not have to carry a spare specifically for the trailer. It might also be possible to have someone with a lathe index and redrill/tap the holes on the existing drums to fit the jeep wheel.
The Iltis trailers are the most heavy duty of the trailers bilt in my opinion. I bought 28 of them a while back, and had no problem selling off 27 of them.
