Dougie you will be hard pressed to find anyone willing to desecrate another hull it is pointless....... why not obtain a complete hull itself rather than create another butchered carrier, you may be cutting up a vehicle which has seen some historic action or carried numerous hero's into battle, even if you put "original" armor back on it wont correspond to the hull you are putting it on, it wont make your project any more valuable..if this is what you seek.......if i recall was your project not going to be a working museum piece ? i would spend the time to remake some from mild steel, you can easily replace all the marks and all the components are easy to remake. fair enough with the engine, after all carriers rarely maintain they're orginal engine as they were often changed out. if you keep your eyes open you often see them on ebay. plan B sell your current Hull to fund a rebuild of a full unit. i know Martyn or even myself would perhaps be interested in your current one, not to mention the likes of Dirk Leegwater over Holland way.

cheers

Richie
