Default Place to look

First the ARN may be underneath some layers of paint. It's normally painted on the front shell on both sides under the windscreens.
The chassis number (generally) is stamped onto the chassis frame, top rail, right-hand side roughly between the brake and clutch pedal mount point and the front engine mount. Sometimes it's on the side of the chassis rail. The number on a Ford is the same as the original engine number which was also stamped on the top of the gearbox bellhousing. Typically it will start with (for a cab 13) "3G" or "4G" on Aust vehicles signifying 1942 or 1943 delivery.
