Hello Nelson
I see what you mean.
This would be lots of work to return it back to the original look. Other than the body.
Looks like a lift kit has been added, different seats, rollbar, different wheels, Signal lights added to replace the marker lights, different front bumper. I am guessing that it is 12 volt rather than 6 volt.
But not impossible. It will take time and of course money. Most of the parts needed can be bought brand new, NOS or used from MV parts dealers. Usually they are cheaper than going to the local auto parts store for parts. But compare prices.
The seats look more comfortable. My wife would like those ones.
Accesories for a CJ2 should fit this body as they were the same specs. The first batch used the left over wartime production.
If you do plan on returning it to the original look, it can be done in stages, so that you can still enjoy the jeep. i.e. One winter do the seats and take out the rollbar, the next year do the suspension and wheels. etc.
If it is 12 volt you can leave it as such. Nobody would know the difference.
Or keep it as it is and enjoy it the way it is.
It took me 10 years to restore my GPW, mind you i was dependant on others to do the metal and mechanical work. I could do the take off and reassembly bit. It had less original parts than you did and i had to combine several to make one.
They are relatively easy to work on, which is good for people like me who do not profess to be mechanics.
Enjoy the toy.
i can be reached at

thanks
