I think her issue is how much money it would cost to get the work done for standard stove connections. I can't see myself living there for a long,long time, but certainly long enough to get a life going and get established here ... and look for a more completely self-contained place,taking my time.

Yeah ... I'm scared to death around THIS area. Too many people a hairs width from going postal or they're already there and waiting for someone to look at 'em the wrong way.

I flash to John, my youngests dad ... when living close to Haight Ashbury in his 4 story Victorian, he had a loaded hand gun on EVERY floor ... just in case. Amazing hey? Ain't no way to live.
