Couple of thoughts, one I have found a bulb supplier who can provide halogen replacement bulbs for the replaceable bulb type unit. They work quite well.
Though I have not bought and yet it appears that some of the HOT ROD particularly Ford part suppliers have replacement reflectors and lenses for this period that look like a match.
Yes I to have some of the original semi sealed bulbs and like the look of the lenses, so I have thought about trying to find a reflector and and replacement bulb that could use the lenses.
