One caption mentioned that Italian POWs were sent to London. There was a camp in Osterley Park which was then in Middlesex, but since 1965 in west London, and they were released on parole to go into town. Dad says that they frequented an Italian-owned tea/ice cream restaurant called Rossis and had to endure cat-calls from the public.
