Default Mud in light

Hi

Mike I agree with you about the cover cap being an attempt to keep dirt out. But it may also be that the smaller hole at the end of the 3" tube made the lamp light a tighter circle on the dif cover. Or to make it easier to clean.

My HUP has its original dif light and it is just a straight 3" tube slid on what would be a marker light. The mud has never been much problem even when the truck has been in water/mud over the axle. What has been a problem is that the little lenses in the marker light unit in time collects oil which collects dust.
