Yes, I have that effect on some people. Sometimes I confuse myself too.
Basically I'm starting from the belief that the embossed lines in the lens of the sealed beam should be mainly horizontal or vertical. Having them at an angle, as shown in the "after" photo means something is out of alignment. Most of the parts should fit together better in one orientation than others (if done gently).
