I think you will find that the boot idea works good on the Cab 11 and 12 but that it is a different style of boot. With the starter lever up in the middle of the rear of the dog house, you really need a boot as it is a big source of hot air.
While the hand brake lever has a different shape so that the boot needs to accommodate a different sweep. Will try and get some pictures of the Pat 12 boots I made.
