When it comes to items that protect my safety, Chinese made is on my no-go list. I prefer to buy American or Canadian if possible. I don't care what kind of deal something is, especially things like hoists, chainfalls, jacks, jack stands etc.
The joke here in Canada now is that CSA approved items are not neccessarily that.. (CSA= Canadian Standards Association, a non-biased testing authority to which a classification of known standards are applied and tested to)
The CSA has become known as the Chinese Safety Authority because the Chinese falsely label products coming into Canada with CSA logos, having neither applied for testing, nor been ever granted acceptance to apply CSA logos to these items.
