Further to my last, I feel that I must add that my commentary and opinion of carrier value is just that; an opinion.
To those of you who choose to email me personally attacking my opinion because you feel that I am in some way hampering a sale etc, please be advised that I did not realize that I am all powerful in the world of MV appraisals and that I have any kind of influence.. Simply put, I have been in the game for a number of years, have owned many carriers from parts and pieces to complete units. iMany of the carriers that you guys own and have restored, I have probably had a hand in in some way or form. I have helped out a great many collectors here with bits and pieces. Here in Canada, you would be hard pressed to find anyone wanting to pay huge amounts for a toy. Thats the truth, long and short. Yes there are those who have deep pockets and will pay anything just to have but that does not begin to establish true values.
The European market is definately different, as is the US market for MVs.
