From what we have observed here at the barn on 1940 Chev 1 ton truck compared to CMP cab 11/12

In Jeff's last posting..... the first picture..... on the open engine bay you can see a metal arch..... that is the top part of the horse collar. It is to that part that the radiator bolts on to.... 3 bolts on each side. The horse collar is held at the bottom with 2 carriage bolts going through the front frame cross member and a funny iron dog bone spacer.

The only difference between the civilian model and the CMP part is that the CMP as the top arch cut off at an angle....... the rest is identical and I suspect a perfect fit into a cab 11 12 and 13 after proper trimming off the top arch.

The radiator is almost identical between civvy and cab 13 CMP..... the main difference is that the CMP has a thicker core ( 4 rows) which results in having a smaller overhang on the inside section of the rad. If you look at a civvy 42 rad from the side ... you will find the top tank ovehangs the fan area maybe 1 1/2 inch...... while the CMP rad has about a 1/2 in. overhang....

Of course the cab 11 and 12 rads have a different tank on top with different filler cap but the same modified horse collar is identical to the civvy trucks.
