Yes, I thought it had probably either run off the road or hit a large hole full of bulldust. The term bulldust here refers to a powdery dust which can fill and camouflage nasty holes in the road.
Would've been enough to spoil the driver and passenger's day anyway!

Looks like the POL cans sitting on the rear wheel.
