Burying things does seem a habit for some people - I recall seeing some film from the Irish Army where they dug a big hole, drove a very nice looking Churchill tank into it and then covered it over... about 15 years ago...
Why... who knows... where... who knows...
Crying shame though... you'd have thought they'd have wanted to put it into a museum or sell it to a collector.
Can only hope this was a "spoof" film and the tank was dug up again afterwards.
