ANZAC Day 2013
Remember this chap from last years Parade photos? If not, may I introduce Mr Stanley Fox, RM. He is a veteran of the D-Day landings, and was amongst the first wave of British troops ashore. Stan joined-up the day his mother was killed in an air-raid. He said he wanted to get as many Germans as he could, as payback. I believe he repayed the debt and then some! He didn't require a wheeelchair last year, and doesn't look to be very well this time around. Breaks my heart to see these dear old fellas getting old.
On the way home we stopped at services, and I saw this sign outside of a (closed) fruit shop.
Couldn't resist taking this photo. Maybe they should have put this one away, on ANZAC Day!
