If you have not already done so, you may have to look into this further. Commercial vehicles which are plated under antique status are exempt from daily inspections or yearly inspections.
As for driver licensing, I am not clear on that. You are good to go anyhow with a class D, but I would suspect that the provision of antique status may exempt a person from this provision as well (vehicles over 4500kg) being used solely as personal transportation. At any rate, your truck does not have air brakes so at least a person could get away without the Z endorsement.
I do know that the inspection portion is fact, as I just looked it up on the MTO website.
