Just was looking at what Jim Carter Truck Parts had listed as new items and spotted that they are offering new replacement mechanical temperature gauges. Price looks good $59.95 but what was most interesting they are offering both the standard length tube and extended length tubs. Take a look at the page

They would have to be mounted in your existing instrument group. Looks good enough that I think I'll order one to see if they are any good.
