In the UK there is nothing worse than some old guy in to his 90's who is keeping an MV, as he can't face parting with it. His family are not interested in MVs and over the years of inactivity his vehicle gets to the point where it gets towed away for scrap. So it far better to say enough and let it go to someone else!

Yes mate I agree with you, as I have agreed with the comments made by other MLU members. It will be sad to see the Jeep loaded onto the truck, but I know the new owner will get to enjoy and show it off like I did.
Driving around the Australian country side you see many a MV parked unlovingly out in the weather rotting away and when the owners are contacted to purchase and restore, you are told they will never sell. I find that so strange because as you said when they pass away the scrappers are the only winners.
