As you have probably seen, and remarked upon, there are a bunch of us out there who share a common bond...that of military communications.
Signals was always, in the British and Commonwealth Armies, considered to be both an Arm and a Service...a very great distinction...No other Corps, AFAICR, can claim the same.
The opening up of this thread could lead to some MLUers having glazed over eyeballs as we "Sigs Pigs" babble on.
Not to worry, we're all on the same "wavelength", right?
Note to Frank...remember having to do 10 wpm CW for Gp 2 or 3 qual? Damned if I can even think that fast.!
